Carlos Zamora

Personal trainer, group fitness instructor and athlete

Uses Cortex Ignite

I want to be able to maintain the quality throughout my training. Even when I have already been going for many hours.

Everyday life

For Carlos Zamora, training fills most of the day. As a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, his work is about helping others move, challenge themselves and improve. He also has his own training and goals.

His background spans padel tennis, fitness and martial arts. Movement runs through both his working life and his interests. In his public trainer profile, he puts it this way: “I live and breathe fitness.”

On some days, Carlos spends morning to evening in the gym. One class follows another, with only short breaks in between. Every time a new group walks in, another session begins, and he needs to be ready to lead it.

“People come in for a good workout. I want to meet them with the same enthusiasm, whether it is my first or last class of the day.”

That makes demands on his body. And when Carlos finds time for his own training, he wants to get quality out of that too.

What changed

Cortex Ignite has become part of how Carlos prepares for training. He feels that it helps him keep going on demanding training days and maintain the intensity when he trains himself.

What he particularly notices is the final part of a session, when he has already worked hard.

“I feel that I have more to work with when training starts to get demanding. Being able to finish a session properly matters to me.”

The fact that Ignite is caffeine-free also matters to his choice. His training does not always happen early in the day, and he appreciates being able to use it for evening workouts.

“I am really glad that it is caffeine-free. I can also use it when I train in the evening, and I still find that I sleep well afterwards.”

What matters

For Carlos, a good training day is also about the people he meets. He helps create an environment where others want to give a little more and come back next time.

That same enjoyment of improving drives his own training. Even though he spends many hours in the gym, the sessions where he works towards his own goals still mean something special.

“I spend a lot of my day training other people. But my own training still means a lot to me. I enjoy working on something and feeling that I am getting better.”

Ignite is part of his preparation before training. The rest of his day still builds on his routine around food, breaks and sleep.

Training is a big part of my life. I want to be able to give something to my classes, get something out of my own training and want to do it again the next day.
