Father of two · Home training and football

Uses Creatine Monohydrate

Your body should be treated like a temple. If I choose to take something every single day, I also want to know that it is good quality.

Everyday life

Training should fit into life. Not the other way around.

Jason is a father of two young girls. He does not have hours available every day for long gym sessions, so his training does not necessarily follow a fixed schedule.

It gets fitted in when everyday life allows it.

He often trains at home with kettlebells, dumbbells and his own body weight. Football training and matches several times a week also challenge his body in different ways.

“I train when there is time. With two young girls, you cannot always plan your way around everything. Sometimes I have 45 minutes, sometimes less. So I need to get something out of the time I have.”

For Jason, training is primarily about staying strong, athletic and fit, while making it work alongside family life.

The goal is still to get stronger

Training at home does not make his ambition any smaller.

Jason works on progressing his exercises, using heavier kettlebells and dumbbells, controlling his body weight better and being able to perform on the football pitch.

“It is a great feeling when something that used to be heavy suddenly feels lighter. Or when you realise you can do more repetitions or control an exercise better. I want to feel that I am getting stronger.”

This is also where creatine has found a regular place in his routine.

“I feel that I can maintain my level better during training and recover faster between my training days. When training has to fit between work, children and football, that matters to me.”

Jason does not see creatine as a shortcut, though.

“You still have to do the training. Creatine does not do the work for you. But if I can get a little more out of the training I already do, it makes sense to me.”

What changed

Not every creatine product has worked for him

Jason had actually used creatine before Valkyria Labs.

But the experience had not always been good.

“I have previously tried regular creatine that simply gave me stomach pain. At times, it made me almost give up taking it, even though I wanted creatine to be a regular part of my training.”

When he started using Valkyria Labs Creatine Monohydrate, it was therefore not creatine itself that was new.

It was his experience of the product.

“The first thing I noticed was how fine the powder is. It mixes much more easily than what I had tried before. And since switching to Valkyria's, I personally have not had the same stomach problems.”

For Jason, that made the difference. A product can be well documented on paper, but if he does not want to take it every day, it does not work in practice.

“I actually wish I had known about this kind of quality earlier. I probably would have been more consistent with creatine long ago.”

What matters

Quality matters when you take something every day

Jason has a very simple approach to supplements:

He needs to trust what he puts into his body.

That is also one of the reasons he prefers Valkyria Labs Creatine Monohydrate.

The product consists of 100% creatine monohydrate with no added flavouring and has a 500 mesh ultra-fine texture, resulting in a very fine powder and a more pleasant user experience.

“For me, premium does not mean a product needs lots of extra things in it. Sometimes the opposite is actually better. One product, one ingredient and a quality I feel comfortable using.”

A routine that fits between family and training

Jason takes 5 g of creatine daily.

Not just on the days he trains.

That simplicity makes it possible to maintain the routine, even when everyday life does not go to plan.

One day might mean kettlebells in the living room. Another might mean football training. A third might be a recovery day with the family.

But the creatine stays consistent.

“I would rather have a few things I do consistently than a perfect plan I can never stick to. That fits my life better.”

For Jason, training is therefore not about building his whole life around fitness.

It is about keeping his body strong enough for life.

I want to get stronger and keep performing. But training has to fit into life with my family. Not the other way around.
